Overview

We measure visits cookie-free with a self-hosted Umami instance. Without your consent we store nothing on your device except what a function you asked for technically needs (your cookie choice, a manually selected language, access to an AI check report you requested, confirmation and download of a whitepaper you requested, and the automatic start of an AI check you triggered on one of our pages). Cookies and browser storage for statistics and company identification (Google Analytics, Leadfeeder), ad measurement (Meta Pixel, OpenAI conversion pixel) and campaign attribution are set only with your consent. Beyond that, we process personal data only when you share it via a form, and for the technically necessary operation of the site. We additionally report every page view to our own EU-hosted analytics platform (apollon): without cookies, without storing the IP address - only the page, the referrer, the time plus device type, browser and operating-system family taken from the browser identification string, tagged with a random event number, without a persistent visitor identifier. As with the Umami counter we add there, without consent, the approximate country (from the only transiently processed IP address), screen size and browser language as well as a daily rotating pseudonymous day key derived from IP address and browser identification string, used to group the views of the same day into a session (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you arrive via an ad, the entry URL carries a click identifier of the advertising network (e.g. gclid, fbclid, li_fat_id, oppref) or the identifier of one of our short links. Without your consent we only evaluate the advertising network from it (e.g. “Google Ads, paid”); we keep the identifier itself separately and purpose-bound for at most 30 days - solely so that a later consent (form checkbox or cookie notice) can still attribute your request to the ad that triggered it - and delete it afterwards (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We transmit a click identifier to an advertising network only with your consent, for OpenAI together with the identifiers its pixel sets (ad measurement).

Hosting and server logs

When you visit this page, our hosting provider processes technically necessary data (IP address, time, requested resource, user agent) in server logs to deliver the site and keep its operation secure. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; logs are deleted after a short period.

SSL/TLS encryption

To protect the security of your data in transit, we use state-of-the-art encryption (e.g. SSL/TLS) via HTTPS.

Fonts

All fonts are self-hosted. Visiting this page establishes no connection to Google servers or other font services.

Audience measurement (Umami)

For audience measurement we use the open-source software Umami on a self-hosted instance within the EU. Umami works without cookies and without cross-device tracking; IP addresses are not stored permanently, and only aggregated metrics are evaluated (page views, referrers, device type). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in analyzing and improving this site (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). With your statistics consent (cookie notice) we additionally record session replays and heatmaps via our Umami instance to improve the usability of the site. This is also cookie-free; input into form fields is masked and not recorded, and replays are deleted after 30 days. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR; you can withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. We store your choice in your browser for 12 months; after that we ask again. We additionally report every page view to our own EU-hosted analytics platform (apollon): per view the page requested (without click identifiers and download tokens in the address), the referrer domain, the time, device type, browser and operating-system family taken from the browser identification string, plus scroll depth, active time on page and clicks on external links or file downloads, tagged with a random event number - without cookies, without a persistent visitor identifier, without storing the IP address. The legal basis is likewise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. On the same basis - as with the Umami counter - we derive the approximate country from the IP address there (storing only the country, never the address), form a daily rotating pseudonymous day key from IP address and browser identification string to group the views of one day into a session (the IP address itself is only processed transiently and not stored; the pseudonymous key links views only within one day and rotates daily), and record screen size and browser language; only with your consent for an advertising network do we store its click identifier from the ad URL - for OpenAI also the identifiers its conversion pixel sets in your browser - to attribute enquiries to the triggering ad (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Our platform's measurement script keeps entries in your browser's localStorage for this: a copy of your cookie choice (ap_consent), with statistics or campaign-attribution consent a random pseudonymous visitor ID (ap_vid, the same as under campaign attribution below, until withdrawal) and, with consent for an advertising network, its click identifier (ap_click, valid for 90 days). Upon withdrawal the visitor ID and click identifiers are deleted immediately.

Google Analytics 4

Only with your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) do we use Google Analytics 4 by Google Ireland Ltd. to statistically analyze the use of this site. This sets cookies (including _ga, lifetime 400 days) and transfers usage data to Google; data may be transferred to the USA (Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework). Google Analytics processes IP addresses in truncated form. You can withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer - the Google cookies are deleted in the process. In addition, you can prevent collection by Google Analytics by installing the browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Leadfeeder (company identification)

Only with your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) do we use the web visitors tracker by Leadfeeder (Dealfront), a service of Liidio Oy, Keskuskatu 6 E, 00100 Helsinki, Finland. Leadfeeder matches website visits to companies based on the IP address so that we can identify and approach commercial prospects; individual persons are not identified. Cookies and local storage entries are set (including _lfa, lifetime 12 months); processing takes place within the EU. You can withdraw your consent at any time via „cookie settings“ in the footer - the Leadfeeder cookies are then deleted.

Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram)

Only with your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) do we use the Meta Pixel of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram and to build audiences. The pixel sets cookies (_fbp, _fbc; 90-day lifetime) and transfers usage data to Meta; data may be transferred to the USA (Meta is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework). You give your consent via the cookie notice and can withdraw it at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer - the Meta cookies are deleted in the process. In addition, we report the successful submission of our forms server-side via the Meta Conversions API. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you give voluntarily via the optional “ad conversion measurement” checkbox of the respective form or via the cookie notice - without it nothing is reported; we transfer your email address and name in SHA-256-hashed form, your IP address, user agent and the click identifier from the ad URL (fbclid) and, if you have consented to the pixel in the cookie notice, the _fbp/_fbc cookie values so Meta can attribute the conversion to the ad that triggered it. If you have consented to the pixel, we also mirror page views server-side to Meta (time, page URL, IP address, user agent, _fbp/_fbc cookie values) so measurement keeps working when your browser blocks the pixel script.

OpenAI conversion pixel

Only with your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) do we use OpenAI's conversion pixel to measure the effectiveness of our own ads in ChatGPT (for example, whether an inquiry was sent via our form after an ad click). Usage data is transferred to OpenAI; data may be transferred to the USA. The pixel sets cookies (__obref, lifetime 12 months; __oppref, lifetime 30 days); when the pixel script is loaded from OpenAI's servers, their CDN provider Cloudflare additionally sets technical security cookies (__cf_bm, approx. 30 minutes; _cfuvid, session). You can withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. In addition, we report the successful submission of our forms server-side via OpenAI's Conversions API. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you give voluntarily via the optional “ad conversion measurement” checkbox of the respective form or via the cookie notice - without it nothing is reported; to attribute the conversion we transfer your email address and name in SHA-256-hashed form, your IP address, user agent and the click identifier from the ad URL (oppref) and, if you have consented to the pixel in the cookie notice, the __obref/__oppref cookie values and the pseudonymous visitor identifier. If you have consented to the pixel and your browser blocks the pixel script, we also mirror the page view server-side to OpenAI (time, page URL, IP address, user agent, cookie values).

Google Ads (conversion measurement)

With your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) we report to Google Ireland Limited server-side whether an inquiry or whitepaper request followed a click on one of our Google ads. We use no tracking cookie and no Google script for this (a first-party cookie merely stores your consent choice, see "Storage of your cookie choice"); we transmit the click identifier Google appends to the ad URL (gclid or wbraid/gbraid) and, for web clicks (gclid), additionally your email address in SHA-256-hashed form. Google does not receive your name, IP address or user agent (details in the section "Ad conversion measurement"). Processing in the USA is possible; Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. You give your consent voluntarily via the cookie notice or the optional “ad conversion measurement” checkbox of the respective form and can withdraw it at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer or by writing to hello@apollon.work.

LinkedIn Ads (conversion measurement)

With your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) we report to LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company server-side whether an inquiry or whitepaper request can be attributed to one of our LinkedIn ads. We use no tracking cookie and no LinkedIn script for this (a first-party cookie merely stores your consent choice, see "Storage of your cookie choice"); we transmit your email address in SHA-256-hashed form and, if present, the click identifier appended to the ad URL (li_fat_id). LinkedIn does not receive your name, IP address or user agent (details in the section "Ad conversion measurement"). Processing in the USA is possible; LinkedIn Corporation is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. You give your consent voluntarily via the cookie notice or the optional “ad conversion measurement” checkbox of the respective form and can withdraw it at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer or by writing to hello@apollon.work.

Contact form

If you use the contact form or our AI check, we process the data you provide (name and email address and optionally company, website, phone number, budget range and message as well as - when using our question flows - details on advertising status, platforms used, ad budget, business model and industry) to handle your request. You do not need to tick any box for this. The data is transferred to and stored in our CRM system. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures taken at your request). We delete the data once processing is complete and no statutory retention obligations apply. The form offers two voluntary checkboxes that are not pre-ticked and are independent of your request: with “ad conversion measurement” you consent to the reporting to advertising networks described in the section "Ad conversion measurement"; with the second checkbox you consent to us informing you by email (including newsletters) and phone about further offers of Logic Joe GmbH (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Sec. 7(2) no. 2 UWG). You can withdraw either consent at any time with effect for the future - an informal message to hello@apollon.work is enough.

Whitepaper requests (double opt-in)

When you request our whitepaper, we process the details you provide (name and email address, plus optionally company, website, phone number, budget range and message as well as - when using our question flows - details on advertising status, platforms used, ad budget, business model and industry) to send you the whitepaper. You do not need to tick any box for this. Delivery uses a double opt-in process: you first receive a confirmation email; only after you click the confirmation link do we send you the download link. The data is transferred to and stored in our CRM system. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (fulfilling your request). We contact you by email (including newsletters) and phone about further offers of Logic Joe GmbH only if you ticked the voluntary checkbox for this (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Sec. 7(2) no. 2 UWG); ad conversion measurement likewise only takes place with your consent (section "Ad conversion measurement"). You can withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future - an informal message to hello@apollon.work is enough.

Ad conversion measurement (conversion APIs)

If you reach our site via an ad (e.g. on Google, Meta, LinkedIn or in ChatGPT), submit a form and have given your consent, we transmit details of this conversion to the respective advertising platform server-side: the click identifier from the ad URL (e.g. gclid, wbraid/gbraid, fbclid, li_fat_id or oppref), your email address and name in pseudonymised form (SHA-256 hash), your IP address and your user agent. Google and LinkedIn receive neither your name nor your IP address or user agent; Google receives the hashed email address only for web clicks (gclid), LinkedIn can also match on the hashed email address alone. Recipients are Google Ireland Limited (Google Ads API), Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Conversions API), LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company (Conversions API) and OpenAI (Conversions API); processing in the USA is possible. The purpose is to measure which ad led to a request. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give voluntarily via the optional “ad conversion measurement” checkbox of the respective form or - per recipient - via the cookie notice; if you have already consented to a recipient in the cookie notice, the checkbox does not name it again. Your request works just the same without this consent. Without consent nothing is transmitted to an advertising platform, not even an anonymised report. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future - an informal message to hello@apollon.work is sufficient. To keep this attribution working if you continue browsing our site after the click, the open page keeps the campaign parameters of the entry URL in memory only and passes them along as a hidden form field when you submit - without consent we store nothing on your device for this. If you have consented to campaign attribution in the cookie notice, we additionally store the same information in your browser: in two server-readable first-party cookies for the duration of the browser session (_ap_ft with the campaign parameters, _ap_rf with the host of the referring page; deleted once a form is submitted successfully) as well as in sessionStorage for the duration of the tab and up to 90 days in localStorage, so the attribution survives a later visit; these entries are deleted on withdrawal. With the same consent we generate a random, pseudonymous visitor identifier (also localStorage, 90 days from last use) that lets us connect return visits in our self-hosted, cookie-free statistics and associate them with an enquiry; the identifier contains no personal data and is likewise deleted upon revocation.

Storage of your cookie choice

We store your cookie banner decision for 12 months in your browser's localStorage (apollon-ads-consent); cookies mirror the state of your choice for server-side enforcement (apollon_ads_consent, apollon_openai_consent, apollon_google_consent, apollon_linkedin_consent, apollon_stats_consent, apollon_attribution_consent; lifetime equal to your choice, no identifier). This storage is necessary to apply your choice and avoid asking again on every visit (Sec. 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). If you switch the site language manually, a cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) remembers your language choice. If you request our whitepaper, two cookies keep your confirmation (wp_confirm, until the confirmation link expires, at most 7 days) and your download access (wp_dl, 30 days); a cookie (_ap_report_…) keeps access to an AI check report you requested for 30 days. If you start an AI check from another of our pages, the page creates an entry in sessionStorage for the lifetime of the tab (ai-check:autostart) so that the check starts once automatically on the target page; it is deleted again immediately. This storage is necessary for the function you requested (Sec. 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG).

Recipients

To provide this page and handle inquiries we use service providers acting for us under data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR: hosting runs on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany); lead data is stored in a self-hosted CRM system and in our self-hosted marketing analytics platform (app.apollon.work) on our own infrastructure within the EU; in the platform we combine inquiries, page views and campaign metrics to evaluate the performance of our advertising. Confirmation and delivery emails are sent via a European email service provider (Sweego, France). Transfers to third countries (in particular the USA) only take place in the cases described in the sections "Google Analytics 4", "Meta Pixel", "OpenAI Conversion Pixel", "Google Ads", "LinkedIn Ads" and "Ad conversion measurement".

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority - the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information is responsible for us. To exercise these rights, an informal message to our data protection officer (see above) or to hello@apollon.work is sufficient.

Changes to this privacy policy

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to reflect changes to our services, e.g. when introducing new services. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.
